Further to the GDPR applicable since the 25th of May 2018, ESA has published theire privacy notice:

International LST and Emissivity Group

The International Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity Working Group (ILSTE-WG) aims to provide advice and recommendations to the wider scientific and user communities on the best practices for retrieval, validation and exploitation of Land Surface Temperature (LST), Ice Surface Temperature (IST), Lake Surface Water Temperature (LSWT), and Land Surface Emissivity (LSE).

Period of report: December 2015

The main activities in this reporting period can be summarised as follows:

  • Provisional dates for UCM#4 in Lisbon have been agreed (28th – 29th June) – this will be combined with an internal progress meeting
  • Full year-by-year processing of GlobTemperature “value-added” MODIS product with full uncertainty breakdown completed both for Aqua and Terra
  • User Case Studies - all on target in terms of timing
  • Merged product:
    • Co-location files of MTSAT and GOES with MODIS/Terra and MODIS/Aqua are ready for the production of the merged product;
    • Revisiting bias correction methodologies and fine-tuning the computation toward the most robust results possible;
  • CDR:
    • Retrieval uncertainties added to the processing chain
  • Numerous end-Phase deliverables being completed and reviewed
