Further to the GDPR applicable since the 25th of May 2018, ESA has published theire privacy notice:

International LST and Emissivity Group

The International Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity Working Group (ILSTE-WG) aims to provide advice and recommendations to the wider scientific and user communities on the best practices for retrieval, validation and exploitation of Land Surface Temperature (LST), Ice Surface Temperature (IST), Lake Surface Water Temperature (LSWT), and Land Surface Emissivity (LSE).

Period of report: November 2015

The main activities in this reporting period can be summarised as follows:

  • Progress Meeting #4 held on 27-Nov-2015 at ACRI-ST, Toulouse
  • End-Phase 2 deliverables all in progress / review
  • Reconfirmation from GCOS Steering Committee that we can go forward with LST requirement definitions for LST. GCOS will have another meeting in spring for preparing the next Implementation Plan where LST will be in as a new ECV.
  • Year-by-year processing of GlobTemperature “value-added” MODIS product with full uncertainty breakdown completed for Aqua and near-completed for Terra
  • User Case Studies - all on target in terms of schedule
  • CCRR - test dataset about to be uploaded online. Blind submission dataset will be available in early January; CCRR participation opportunity extended until April
  • Production of MTSAT and GOES single-sensor LST datasets for period ready for release onto Data
