Further to the GDPR applicable since the 25th of May 2018, ESA has published theire privacy notice:

International LST and Emissivity Group

The International Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity Working Group (ILSTE-WG) aims to provide advice and recommendations to the wider scientific and user communities on the best practices for retrieval, validation and exploitation of Land Surface Temperature (LST), Ice Surface Temperature (IST), Lake Surface Water Temperature (LSWT), and Land Surface Emissivity (LSE).

Period of report: September 2015

The main activities in this reporting period can be summarised as follows:

  • Submission and acceptance of the 3rd GlobTemperature Newsletter
  • 1-page proposed ECV LST Definition sent to G. Schaepmann-Strub (liaison to the GCOS committee) following feedback received from the ILSTE-WG during and after the Steering Committee Telecon
  • Most of demands raised during the UCM#3 implemented in the test server – migration to the operational portal planned by mid-October
  • GlobTemperature “value-added” MODIS product with uncertainty breakdown consistent with the ATSR approach in advanced development
  • Performed satellite-satellite intercomparisons between AATSR LST and SEVIRI LST over GBB station.
  • Setting up the process chain for the production of MTSAT and GOES single-sensor databases according to the deliverable specifications.
