Further to the GDPR applicable since the 25th of May 2018, ESA has published theire privacy notice:

International LST and Emissivity Group

The International Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity Working Group (ILSTE-WG) aims to provide advice and recommendations to the wider scientific and user communities on the best practices for retrieval, validation and exploitation of Land Surface Temperature (LST), Ice Surface Temperature (IST), Lake Surface Water Temperature (LSWT), and Land Surface Emissivity (LSE).

Period of report: March 2015

The main activities in this reporting period can be summarised as follows:

  • Internal Progress Meeting #3 on 6 March 2015
  • ILSTE-WG Steering Committee telecon held on 12th March
  • LST presented at the GCOS TOPC meeting on 17th March to promote the case of LST as an ECV, which was well received by the panel
  • GlobTemperature ATSR-2 L3 datafiles have finished processing and have been uploaded to the internal FTP server ready for transfer to the Data Portal
  • Produced first matchup data files for the comparison of satellite-retrieved SEVIRI LST with KIT station LST in the harmonised GlobTemperature format
  • Evaluation of the bias correction of MODIS relative to SEVIRI for the Merged Product
  • Preparation of the manually masked images for the CCRR using our cloud clearing tool
